Rail Safety 2012
28th – 29th March 2012 | Doltone House at Darling Island Wharf, Sydney
RISSB and the ARA are delighted to announce the 12th annual Rail Safety Conference, to be held at Doltone House at Darling Island Wharf, Sydney, on the 28th – 29th March 2012.
The 2012 program will bring together the key national decision-makers from the industry with the aim of “Identifying and strengthening the weakest link” in rail safety. Although the Australian rail industry prides itself on a strong safety record it is especially vulnerable to low probability, high risk accidents - so there is no room for complacency. Therefore it is vital that the rail industry does not rest on its laurels and continues to not only expose, but rectify, any potential weak links in order to create the safest possible working environment.
With this in mind, Rail Safety 2012 will challenge the industry to find and fix the industry’s weakest link through exploring the fallibility of human nature, technology and operational procedures and the safeguards in place to minimise the risk
The 2011 conference was attended by over 150 rail safety executives from Australia and overseas. The program featured in-depth discussions on both international and local safety initiatives that played to the conferences main theme of thinking outside the safety square.
Join us in March 2012, be amongst the leading safety representatives from passenger, freight and heavy haul rail operators, contractors, suppliers and service providers, government agencies, regulators and unions, at the leading Rail Safety conference in the region.
